Semprae Laboratories, Inc. is a unique company focused on improving women's sex lives in meaningful ways. An integral part of this mission is opening up the conversation on women's sexuality from the woman's perspective, and providing a comfortable space for women to ask questions, get information, and express themselves.

Semprae's products are based on real science and demonstrated efficacy in clinical settings. Our flagship product, Zestra®, is the only topically applied OTC product with published clinical results in medical journals proving that it boosts sexual arousal, sensation and satisfaction in women - offering a solution unlike anything else on the market.

The Merging of Minds: Semprae's Genesis

Semprae grew out of the collective experience of CEO Mary Wallace Jaensch and President Rachel Braun Scherl. Each had distinguished careers in brand management and business development with Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson respectively, as well as in the consulting field, with specialties in women's health and personal care products. They co-founded strategy and marketing consulting firm The Jannick Group, LLC/SPARK Solutions for Growth in 1998, and advised Fortune 100 firms for a decade.

In 2008, the current chapter in Mary and Rachel's 11-year partnership took shape.

Presented with what Rachel has described as "the perfect business storm," they teamed with Quaker BioVentures, a leading health sciences venture fund, to purchase the assets of Zestra Laboratories - among them Zestra®, a groundbreaking women's sexual health product. Zestra®'s relevance was clear. While tens of millions of women experience some degree of sexual dissatisfaction, no truly effective solutions are available. Conversations about women's sexuality are virtually nonexistent, even in the doctor's office. Yet here was a product clinically proven to heighten sexual sensation and satisfaction in women. And here were two women eager to get the conversation started.

Semprae Laboratories, Inc. was born.

"This was an extremely exciting opportunity for us," says Mary. "Zestra® is about helping women feel more - not just physically but emotionally." Since taking ownership of Zestra®, the Semprae team has conducted extensive consumer research, optimized the brand's identity and positioning, improved the product's scent, retooled the business model, created a Medical Advisory Board and more.

Momentum is building. As the buzz spreads about Zestra®'s effectiveness, more and more women, as well as investors, are feeling the Zestra® Rush™.
